    Venture around town to find the hidden treasures. Take pictures of what you find and show them to the coordinator at KNS Headquarters by 2:00pm Sunday for your prize!

Location: Meet at 30 Yellowstone Avenue (KIDS ‘N’ SNOW Headquarters)
Fee: FREE – Registration Required

Please be there 15 minutes prior to departure. Meet at The West Yellowstone Visitor Center at 30 Yellowstone Avenue.

Children should be accompanied by an adult (limit 2 adults per family – seats are limited and this event is all about the kids.) 

NO charge for the snowcoach ride, but a Yellowstone Park Pass is REQUIRED. Gratuity for the snowcoach guide is appreciated.

Everyone over the age of 15 needs a Park Pass. Individual day passes are $15 per person and can be purchased at the YNP desk at the Visitor Center (30 Yellowstone Avenue) or at a snowcoach provider ahead of time: See Yellowstone Alpen Guides, Yellowstone Vacations or Backcountry Adventures. If you already have an Annual, National Park, Lifetime or Senior Pass, passes admit the signer and up to three additional persons (16 and older) for a total of four people.

Fee: FREE – Registration Required

Recommended for kids ages 4 and older. Participants will enjoy an educational hike into Yellowstone National Park along the Riverside Trail. Outing will last 1 hour.

For more information, please call 307-344-2876. Allow 1-1.5 hours for the program. A limited number of snowshoes are available free of charge from the Visitor Center (First Come, First Served) or others can be rented at Freeheel & Wheel. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes as well. Not recommended for small children.

M120 Kids Snowmobile Rides
Location: 
Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Avenue & Dunraven Street

Kids from 6-11 years old can try out a child-sized Arctic Cat/Yamaha M120 Snowmobile setup for a slow, safe ride. All children must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign a Release of Liability. Recommend snow boots and gloves. Helmets provided.

Sled Dog Rides
Location: 
Old Airport located at the East end of town, off Iris Street.
Fee: FREE – Registration Required

Children will meet a sled dog team and enjoy a short ride through the woods. Ages 12 and under.

NAIFC Ice Fishing Camp
Location: Hebgen Lake
Fee: FREE – Registration Required

Ice Camp is a popular industry-leading education program that is open to the public and free of charge.
There will be two locations for different parts of the Camp. It begins at 10:00am at the Holiday Inn
Conference Center in West Yellowstone with classroom instruction and demonstration of ice fishing
equipment and techniques as well as safety, conservation and environmental stewardship. Then,
everyone heads out onto the ice from the Kirkwood Marina on Hebgen Lake for fishing tutorials
delivered by experienced, certified NAIFC Pro-Staff instructors. A hot lunch will be served after on-ice
demos and practice, between 1:00-3:30. Before leaving, all kids who participate will receive a
complimentary ice rod and tackle. Make sure to dress warmly, including waterproof footwear for this
outside event.

Help hide food for the bears! Join a naturalist to learn about bears and the important role animal keepers have in their care. Then go into the bear habitat, while it has no bears, and hide food for grizzlies. This program is for kids aged 5-12. 

To participate, you must sign-up in person at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center at least 15 minutes before the program starts. There is a $5 donation per child for participating in Keeper Kids. Dress to be outdoors! This is a guided program. The KIDS ‘N’ SNOW Headquarters desk has stickers showing participation (West Yellowstone Visitor Center – 30 Yellowstone Avenue).
