West Yellowstone Ice Skating Rink & Sledding Hill (Weather Permitting). Skate rentals are available at Westmart. (open Friday, 8:00AM-5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00AM-Noon. Closed Sunday.) The rink is located at Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.

Open Daily Scavenger Hunt Pick up your clues at the KNS Headquarters at the West Yellowstone Visitor Center at 30 Yellowstone Avenue and venture around the town to find the hidden treasures. Take pictures of what you find and show them to the coordinator at the headquarters by 2pm Sunday for your prize!

10:30AM “Scat & Animal Tracks” - GWDC FREE
Use GPS and compasses to seek out animal tracks in the snow. Dress to be outdoors! This is a guided program. Meet at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center at 201 South Canyon Street. Program is free and open to the public (stickers to show participation are available at the Chamber Kids'N'Snow desk). There is a fee to visit the rest of the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Located at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center at 201 South Canyon Street.
9:00AM Yellowstone Snowcoach Samplers - FREE
Climb on board for a unique experience. Leaving at 9:00 AM, 11 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM (NO charge for the snowcoach ride, but a Yellowstone Park pass is required). Please be there 15 minutes prior to departure. Ride a snowcoach into Yellowstone Park to 7-mile bridge to get a sampling of what Yellowstone is like in winter. A park pass is required. Children should be accompanied by an adult (limit 2 adults per family - seats are limited and this event is all about the kids.) Please pre-register on the Contact Page.

Everyone over the age of 15 needs a Park Pass. Individual day passes are $15 per person and can be purchased at the YNP desk at the Visitor Center or at the snowcoach provider ahead of time: Alpen Guides/See Yellowstone, Yellowstone Vacations or Backcountry Adventures. If you already have an Annual, National Park, Lifetime or Senior Pass, passes admit the signer and up to three additional persons (16 and older) for a total of four people.
10:00AM - 2:30PM Sled Dog Rides FREE
Ages 12 and under. Children will meet a sled dog team and enjoy a short ride through the woods. Yellowstone Sled Dog Adventures will be at the Old Airport (East end of town off Iris Street). Please pre-register on the Contact Page.
12:30-1:30PM M120 Kids Snowmobile Rides FREE
Kids from 6 - 11 years old can try out a child-sized Arctic Cat/Yamaha M120 Snowmobile setup for a slow, safe ride. All children must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign a release of liability. Recommend snow boots and gloves. Helmets provided. Location: Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.
3:00PM Owl Pellets – GWDC FREE

3:00PM Yellowstone Movie at the Yellowstone Giant Screen
Admissions for kids 10 & under are free, adults are required to purchase tickets at the theatre. Theatre is located at 101 South Canyon, next to the Visitor Center.
6:00PM “S'mores & Skatin' & Sleddin” - FREE** Join the fun from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the West Yellowstone Ice Rink. Warm-up with hot beverages, toast some marshmallows, and make your own S'more. All the fixings provided. Bring your own sled for our Kid's Sledding Hill. Or, try out West Yellowstone's ice skating rink. Skates available. Old-fashioned family fun for everyone of every age. Location: Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.

** A limited number of ice skates will be available at the rink that night for free use. Please come early for the best selection.

1:00PM Outdoor Games at the Ice Rink – FREE
Join us for fun and games at the community ice rink. Children of all ages welcome. Come dressed for outdoor conditions. Ice Rink is located at Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.
1:00 - 3:00PM Snow Wall of Art – FREE
Break out your creativity and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece on the snowy white canvas. Kids will be given a spray bottle full of water that is tinted with food coloring to decorate a snow wall. All ages welcome. Location: North east end of Pioneer Park near skating rink.

1:30-2:30PM Learn to Ski Basics
Wouldn't you love to learn a new winter sport? Children will learn basic skills from a local ski instructor that encourages them to try cross country and even downhill skiing. Children already skiing are welcome to attend to improve their skills and practice. Please pre-register on the Contact Page.
