Location: Pick up your clues at the KNS Headquarters – West Yellowstone Visitor Center (30 Yellowstone Avenue).  
Venture around town to find the hidden treasures. Take pictures of what you find and show them to the coordinator at KNS Headquarters by 2:00pm Sunday for your prize! 

SATURDAY - MARCH 7, 2020

Location: Meet at 30 Yellowstone Avenue (KIDS ‘N’ SNOW Headquarters)
Fee: FREE – Registration Required

Please be there 15 minutes prior to departure. Meet at The West Yellowstone Visitor Center at 30 Yellowstone Avenue.

Children should be accompanied by an adult (limit 2 adults per family – seats are limited and this event is all about the kids. When registering, you must complete a separate registration for each child and each adult.

NO charge for the snowcoach ride, but a Yellowstone Park Pass is REQUIRED. Gratuity for the snowcoach guide is appreciated. 

Everyone over the age of 15 needs a Park Pass. Individual day passes are $15 per person and can be purchased at the YNP desk at the Visitor Center (30 Yellowstone Avenue) or at a snowcoach provider ahead of time: See Yellowstone Alpen Guides, Yellowstone Vacations or Backcountry Adventures. If you already have an Annual, National Park, Lifetime or Senior Pass, passes admit the signer and up to three additional persons (16 and older) for a total of four people.

Recommended for kids ages 4 and older. Participants will enjoy an educational hike into Yellowstone National Park along the Riverside Trail. Outing will last 1 hour.

A limited number of snowshoes are available free of charge from the Visitor Center (First Come, First Served) or others can be rented at Freeheel & Wheel. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes as well. Not recommended for small children.

Kids from 6-11 years old can try out a child-sized Arctic Cat/Yamaha M120 Snowmobile setup for a slow, safe ride. All children must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign a Release of Liability. Recommend snow boots and gloves. Helmets provided.

Location: Old Airport located at the East end of town, off Iris Street.

Children will meet a sled dog team and enjoy a short ride through the woods. Ages 12 and under.

Help hide food for the bears! Join a naturalist to learn about bears and the important role animal keepers have in their care. Then go into the bear habitat, while it has no bears, and hide food for grizzlies. This program is for kids aged 5-12. 

To participate, you must sign-up in person at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center at least 15 minutes before the program starts. There is a $5 donation per child for participating in Keeper Kids. Old-fashioned family fun for everyone of every age. Warm-up with hot beverages, toast some marshmallows, and make your own S’more. All the fixings provided. Bring your own sled for our Kid’s Sledding Hill. Or, try out West Yellowstone’s ice rink. Skates available. 

*A limited number of ice skates will be available at the rink that night for FREE use. Please come early for the best selection. Additional skates and blade sharpening available at Westmart (100 S Faithful Street – CLOSED Sundays)

Wouldn’t you love to learn a new winter sport? Children will learn basic skills from a local ski instructor that encourages them to try cross country and even downhill skiing. Children already skiing are welcome to attend to improve their skills and practice.
